The cornerstone of Elevate's exceptional physical therapy is an accurate and thorough evaluation, performed by extensively trained therapists with advanced education.
When this comprehensive evaluation is combined with a holistic approach to treatment, manual therapy, and patient education, the therapists are able to go beyond basic understanding and treatment of dysfunction. Physical therapy at Elevate is individualized, and focuses on treating the whole person, not just a body part or diagnosis. Our therapists understand that because the body works as an integrated whole, the entire body is affected by dysfunction or injury, and that treatment of just an injured part or segment of the body in isolation will be ineffective for return to full function.
At Elevate, physical therapy will address any neuro-musculoskeletal or pain condition in the head/neck, upper extremities, back, and lower extremities. All physical therapy sessions at Elevate are one-on-one with the therapist for the duration of the session.

General Physical Therapy
Physical therapy addresses any physical condition, including treatment for back or neck pain, shoulder and arm conditions, and conditions of the lower extremity, like hip, knee or foot pain. All physical therapy sessions are one-on-one with your therapist for the duration of the session.
Manual therapy techniques include:
Soft and Deep Tissue Massage
Trigger Point Release
Intramuscular Dry Needling
Joint Mobilization and Manipulation
Chronic Headache Treatment
Chronic headaches affect 12-16% of the population. Headache management can be very effective in reducing the frequency and duration of these events. As a wellness service, you are able to schedule your treatments as frequently or infrequently as needed to manage your condition.
Physical therapy for chronic headaches includes a variety of manual therapy techniques to improve the head and neck posture, as well as decrease pain. These may include trigger point release, myofascial release, deep and soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations, manual stretching, and functional dry needling. In addition, patients actively participate in a postural stabilization program.
Dry needling specifically addresses muscle trigger points, releasing muscle tension and pain while restoring flexibility. Following a 60 minute initial comprehensive assessment of dysfunction, maintenance of flare-up trigger point areas can be done in a 25 minute session.
Assessment of the temporomandibular joint is comprehensive and includes musculature of the face and neck, jaw posture and alignment, jaw mobility, and trigger point pain patterns. Treatment for TMJ dysfunction includes trigger point release, myofascial release, deep and soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations, manual stretching and functional dry needling.
Gait/Movement Systems Analysis
This approach to physical therapy evaluation involves observing movement tasks and analyzing the movement pattern to identify factors that contribute to pain, dysfunction, or inefficiencies. A holistic perspective is used to assess and treat the entire body system and retrain it to move optimally.
Balance And Vestibular Disorders
Vestibular disorders can diminish quality of life, impact all aspects of daily living, and contribute to emotional problems such as anxiety and depression. Evidence has shown that vestibular rehabilitation with physical therapy can be effective in improving many symptoms related to vestibular disorders. The treatment of a patient with an inner ear disorder focuses on determining a specific plan based on the individuals diagnosis and symptoms.
Vestibular rehabilitation (VR), or vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is a specialized form of therapy intended to alleviate both the primary and secondary problems caused by vestibular disorders. It is an exercise-based program primarily designed to reduce vertigo and dizziness, gaze instability, and/or imbalance and falls.

McKenzie Spine Treatment
Unique to the McKenzie Method is an algorithm that leads to the simple classification of spinal-related disorders. It is based on a consistent “cause and effect" relationship between historical pain behavior as well as the pain response to repeated test movement, positions, and activities during the assessment process. McKenzie treatment uniquely emphasizes education and active patient involvement in the management of their treatment. Andrew Groome is certified in this assessment method.
