Capital Area Human Services Hosts Pain Management Symposium to Discuss Advances in Non-Opioid Pain Care
Opened in June 2017, Elevate meets Wellness with an open mind and heart.

“It’s definitely a different idea, and one that takes people a minute to get,” says Angelle Brown, co-founder of the new Baton Rouge wellness studio Elevate. Brown and business partner Ginger Rogers opened Elevate on Goodwood Boulevard earlier this year. Its carefully curated menu of services is a mashup of wellness offerings, including on-demand physical therapy, spa services, holistic therapies and community classes on topics like guided meditation, nutrition and aromatherapy.
“It’s a lot of things under one roof,” says Rogers. “It stems from this long-held belief we’ve had that people want more options and more control over their own health and wellness.” Read full article here.

Yoga Basics Workshop with Brittany Kriger
Designed with your busy schedule in mind, this small group workshop introduced beginners to the foundations of yoga, and provides current practitioners a deeper understanding of postures. Our small studio is an intimate, safe, and non-competitive environment.
Digestive Wellness Introduction with Heidi Gill
In this class, Heidi will introduced her 4-part Digestive Wellness Series, which includes education and yoga. This class will provided basic information that is covered more thoroughly in the 4-week series.
The Yoga of Eating with Brittany Kriger
The Yoga of Eating is a workshop developed for women by Brittany, an instructor at Elevate. The one-hour class included a yoga practice, a mindful eating meal, study of the Enteric Nervous System and the chakras (with an emphasis on the Manipura chakra), and an invitation and offering for each participant to embrace a healthy hedonistic lifestyle- a concept of keeping happiness at the heart of healthiness, prioritizing the things that bring you pleasure on a wellness journey. In simple terms, it's the perfect workshop for anyone fed up with dieting but wants to FEEL the way she believes a diet will make her feel. (November 2017)

Use of Essential Oils in Everyday Life with Clinton Healy
Would you like to learn more about the use of essential oils in wellness? This class is an "Essential Oils 101" and introduces the attendees to what the basics of essential oils. It will include each participant creating their own non-toxic products, like lotion, spritzers, bath salts, foot scrubs, and lip balm. Young Living essential oils will be used during this class, and you will not be solicited at this meeting to become a Young Living representative.(October 2017)
