Developed by Katharina Schroth in Germany over 90 years ago, the Schroth treatment method consists of exercises used to correct the spine in three dimensions. A comprehensive assessment is performed to determine curve pattern and all contributing factors, such as the pelvis, lower extremities, and feet. Every treatment is individualized and tailored, as each client has a unique curve pattern. The goal of the treatment is to de-flex and de-rotate the trunk, allowing a more normal physiological position using scoliosis specific exercises that are catered to the individuals needs as determined in the evaluation.
